Chapter One
Where We Met
It was a perfectly ordinary day when everything changed. Jack and Holly first crossed paths in [Location — e.g. "a mutual friend's birthday party / at university / at work"], and something just clicked from the very start. Guests Arrive
Guests are welcomed to Thirsk Lodge Barns. A glass of something cold will be waiting for you. Please aim to be seated by 2:30pm.
2:30pm
The Ceremony
Jack and Holly exchange their vows in the ceremony barn. Please ensure all phones are on silent — we'd love for you to be fully present with us.
3:30pm
Drinks & Canapés
Join us in the garden for drinks, canapés, and photographs. This is a wonderful time to mingle and celebrate together.
5:00pm
Wedding Breakfast
A sit-down three-course wedding breakfast in the main barn. Speeches will take place during this time — please settle in for some wonderful words.
7:30pm
Evening Reception
Evening guests are welcomed. Music begins and the bar is open. The first dance will open the dance floor for the evening.
8:00pm
First Dance
Jack and Holly take to the floor for their first dance as husband and wife. Then it's over to you.

Smart/Formal — think wedding guest chic. Ladies, please be mindful of wearing white or ivory out of respect for the bride. Heels might be tricky on the grass, so bring a pair of flats just in case! There's no need to be overdressed or underdressed — just look lovely.
Yes — free parking is available on site at Thirsk Lodge Barns. If you plan on drinking, please arrange a taxi or stay locally and collect your car the following morning.
We love your little ones dearly, but we have decided to keep the wedding an adults-only occasion (with the exception of very young babies). We hope this allows everyone to relax and enjoy a proper night out!
We kindly ask that you keep phones and cameras away during the ceremony so you can be fully present — and to allow our photographer to capture it all without distraction. During the rest of the day, please snap away and share with us!
Yes — evening guests are invited to join us from 7:30pm. If you've received a daytime invitation, you're with us all day. Evening invites will specify arrival time separately.
Please let us know via the RSVP form — there's a section specifically for dietary requirements and allergies. We'll pass all information to the catering team and do our best to accommodate everyone.
Please RSVP by 1st February 2027. After this date we'll be finalising numbers with the venue and catering team, so it's important we hear from you before then.
Your presence is the greatest gift — we truly mean that! However, if you'd like to give something, we'll be sharing details of a gift list / honeymoon fund closer to the date.
